Max
Max is the co-organiser that comes with every plan. Max looks at the plan and tells you what would help next.
Two things are always true:
- Max never sends anything. Max writes the message, and you send it.
- Max never changes the plan on its own. Anything that changes the plan waits for the host's OK.
For everyone
Max's suggestions appear as small cards inside the plan, next to the part they are about.
- You haven't answered. Once other people have answered, Max asks whether you are in.
- Something is still free. If you are in and bring nothing yet, Max points out an item you could take. I'll bring it takes it.
Not now or Leave it hides a card. It stays hidden on your device until the situation changes.
For the host
If you created the plan, Max does more.
| When | What Max offers |
|---|---|
| Nobody else has answered yet | To share the link |
| Someone answered "maybe" | A nudge, written for you to send |
| Items are still up for grabs | A suggestion for who could bring each one |
| Any time | A recap for the group: who is in, who is unsure, what is still needed |
Handing out what is left
When items are still free, Max suggests giving each one to someone who is coming and carries the least so far. Choose See my suggestion to look at it. Nothing changes until you decide:
- Assign them gives each item to the suggested person.
- Leave them free keeps things as they are.
- Ask the group first shares a message asking who can bring them.
People can still give an item up afterwards.
If nobody is in yet, there is no one to suggest. Max drafts a message asking the group instead.
Where to find Max
- On a phone: the round M button at the bottom right opens what Max can do. Needs your OK lists the decisions waiting for you.
- On a tablet: the M tab on the right edge opens Max's panel.
- On a computer: Max has its own column on the right of the plan.
What Max does not do yet
Max works from what is in the plan: the answers and the list of items. Max does not send reminders by itself, does not move the date, and does not answer questions typed in free text.
